Flat Creek Shiraz 2006

Flat Creek Estate is located in the Texas Hill Country just outside Austin. They currently grow over 10 varietals on 20 acres. The 2006 Shiraz is one of the best wines we have tasted from the Texas Hill Country. This wine could easily stand up to the wines from Llano, which have long been considered the best produced wines in Texas. All the grapes used to make this wine are from Texas (which is rare in most “Texas” wines). The wine is aged in French Oak has hints of chocolate, hazelnut and coffee. Drink now through 2012. Limited production: 190 cases
